cBH’s Pandemic Prevention Fellowship

The Cambridge Biosecurity Hub presents the Pandemic Prevention Fellowship—a 7-week intensive program for future leaders and researchers in the field of biosecurity. Starting April 28th, 2025, you'll learn from experts shaping how we navigate biological risks, including:

🔬 Understanding Pandemic Risks – Where do future threats come from, and how can we mitigate them?
🦠 Malicious Actors & Emerging Biotech – The risks and promises of AI-driven biotechnology.
Evaluating Biosecurity Strategies – How do we determine which interventions are most effective?
🚧 Prevention in practice – The science and policies that keep pandemics from happening.
📡 Early warning systems – How we spot and track emerging threats before they spread.
🛑 Outbreak Response – What actually works when a crisis hits?

The Fellowship includes:

  • Seminars with experts in technical and policy interventions. Our network includes leading researchers from the Centre for Long-Term Resilience (CLTR), policy advisors, and biotechnology start-up founders.

  • Research and publication experience.

  • Social events and formal dinners.

  • Career guidance & 1-on-1 mentorship

The program is for people based in and around Cambridge and involves a few hours of involvement a week.

Whether you're a scientist, policymaker, entrepreneur, or just curious about how to best prevent the spread of deadly infectious disease, this fellowship will equip you with the knowledge, tools, network, and preliminary research experience to make an impact in the field.
